Terms of Service
Last Updated: January 1, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms", "Terms of Service") carefully before using the NMC Election 2026 Dashboard website (the "Service") operated by the developers of this educational project ("us", "we", or "our"). Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.
1. Strictly Educational Purpose
THIS WEBSITE IS A MOCK-UP DESIGNED SOLELY FOR EDUCATIONAL AND DEMONSTRATION PURPOSES.
The primary objective of this platform is to demonstrate web development skills, database management, real-time data visualization, and user interface design within an academic or portfolio context. It is not intended to function as a live, operational tool for the Nashik Municipal Corporation or any official government election body.
By using this website, you acknowledge and agree that it serves no official capacity. The functionalities provided—including but not limited to candidate listings, voting statistics, ward divisions, and news updates—are simulations created to test the technical capabilities of the software stack (PHP, MySQL, React.js). No part of this website should be interpreted as a legitimate source of government information, civic guidance, or electoral data.
2. Disclaimer of Data Accuracy (Unofficial Data)
All data presented on this Service is fictitious, simulated, or randomly generated.
Unofficial Status: This website is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC), the Election Commission of India, or any other government authority. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental or used strictly for illustrative purposes to enhance the realism of the educational project.
Data Reliability: You expressly understand that the "vote counts," "candidate profiles," "ward maps," and "election results" displayed herein are fabrications. They are not based on real ballots, official surveys, or actual electoral processes. Therefore, you strictly agree NOT to rely on any information contained on this website for making decisions, whether they be political, financial, personal, or legal. We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of adherence to actual electoral ward boundaries or candidate rosters.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality (including the underlying source code, database schema, and custom algorithms) are and will remain the exclusive property of the developers. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the country of origin and foreign countries.
However, as this is an educational project, certain assets (such as libraries like React, Recharts, or styling frameworks like Tailwind CSS) are used in accordance with their respective open-source licenses. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on our website for commercial purposes without prior written consent, except as generally permitted under fair use for educational review.
4. User Conduct and Restrictions
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in simulating the role of an admin or viewer for educational testing. You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any way that violates any applicable national or international law or regulation.
- Attempt to mislead others by presenting this website as an official government portal.
- Engage in any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone’s use or enjoyment of the Service, or which, as determined by us, may harm the Service or users of the Service or expose them to liability.
- Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device, process, or means to access the Service for any purpose, including monitoring or copying any of the material on the Service.
- Introduce any viruses, trojan horses, worms, logic bombs, or other material which is malicious or technologically harmful to the demonstration server.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the developers, nor their directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; (iii) any content obtained from the Service; and (iv) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content, whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.
Specific to the nature of this project: We accept NO LIABILITY for any confusion, misinformation, or distress caused by the misinterpretation of this simulation as a real election. Users are responsible for exercising due diligence and verifying any political information through official government channels.
6. "As Is" and "As Available" Disclaimer
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.
We do not warrant that a) the Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location; b) any errors or defects will be corrected; c) the Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or d) the results of using the Service will meet your requirements. As this is a student/development project, uptimes and data persistence are not guaranteed.

8. Changes to These Terms

If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
